Saku Shimazaki Toson House (佐久島崎藤村旧宅) is one of the traditional houses located in Saku, Nagano Prefecture. It is located at the entrance of Teishoji Temple. Shimazaki Toson is a very famous writer in Meiji to Showa era. He stayed this house 6 years right after he married from 1899 to 1905. It has 4 rooms and 2 ground rooms.

Visitor's Info.
There is parking and restroom.
Note: It is the religious facility. It's Not the tourist spot. So, be quiet and keep in the good manner.
At the 1st and 3rd Sunday, there is Zazen practice.

0. at Sakudaira Station.
1. use JR Yatsugatake Kogen Line to Nakagomi Station.
2. walk west.

Shimazaki Touson (1872 - 1943)
Touson was born in Kiso Magomejuku, Nagano. He wrote many great novels. He spent last days at Oiso and passed away during writing his last work "Toho no mon."

This house has 4 rooms and 2 ground rooms. He loved the light from the north side. Therefore, the living room face to the north-west.
