Legend said, Samurai called "Taro" in this village digging holes to entertain the villagers around this waterfalls by his katana. Just before he finishes making hole of 1000, he dropped his katana into waterfalls. He dived into its basin to pick it up, but he never came back. People thought he was kill by the mater of waterfalls. At his funeral, he came back from the waterfalls with his katana and sacred stone. He said he found the palace under the basin, and met the master of the waterfalls. He treated Taro well, so he forgot about his village for long time. When he remembered his village, he came back from the palace.

After he back from the palace, the huge annoying sound made from the waterfalls had stopped.

It's a great fishing spot. Fishing released in the middle of June.
