The Forest of Fantasy (幻想の森) is located in northern Yamagata Prefecture. There are many unique trees and some of them are over 1,000 years old. Those are one of the largest cedar trees in Japan.

Access Need a car. Drive 47 to the west make left just before Shiraito Falls.
Genso no Mori is one of the thebeautiful forest with many giant cedar trees located in Tozawa Village, Yamagata Prefecture. Those trees are over 1,000 years old.
