Fishing at Lake Yamanaka in the Winter is fun! Water and are is pure. When Lake Yamanaka frozen up, you can also enjoy ice fishing for "Wakasagi,"Nipponensis, which is very tasty for tenpura. You can rent a boat and enjoy fishing all day long.

Wakasagi is very delicate fish. You have to carry them with ice-water. It lose its freshness easily with warm water.
