From the station, there is steps to reach the bottom of the valley. On the way, there is a way to reach Soryu Falls which is a nice waterfalls that run in to Tamariver. The water is so pure and view is very beautiful
Hatonosu,literary means the nest of doves, was named during Edo period. In 1657, there was huge fire disaster in Edo city. After that, to restore the city, people used woods of Okutama. People built a shrine for the safe working. Someday, two doves made a nest on this shrine. People respected them as the sacred birds. Later, this place was called "Hatonosu."
