Oirase Valley, or Gorge, is located nearby Lake Towada. It is chosen as national specific scneic beauty. The valley starts from the lake and goes about 14km long. Arong the river, there are many beautiful waterfalls. You can drive your car or walk. There is a nice hiking trail. It takes about 4 hours by walking, but you can use a bus to short cut your trail. There are few restroom. So, be careful.

Waterfalls of Oirase

Choshi Great Falls
It is 20m wide and 7m tall waterfalls and only waterfalls on the main river.

Kudan Falls
It is 9 steps waterfalls.

Shimai Falls
It means sisters falls. There are two waterfalls.

Furo Falls

Hakufu Falls

Kumoi Falls
It is the best waterfalls of Oirase. It is 25m tall 2 steps waterfalls.
