Old Post town of Nakasendo

Samegai juku (醒井宿) is the 61st post town of Nakasendo Road from Edo, Tokyo. It is located in Shiga Prefecture. There are many traditional houses remaining here. Let's walk through the Edo period.
This is Jizo River. The harmony of the water and classical house is so peaceful. Some of the house is constrcuted in Edo period.

Samegai Juku is the 61st post town of Nakasendo Road. It is located in Maibara, Shiga Prefecture. It is known as the post town with pure water. Today, there are many traditional houses along the Jizo River.
