Detailed Travel Guide

Takateru Shrine
Takateru Shrine is located at the bottom of Mt. Iwaki. This shrine enshrines Tsugaru Nobumasa, 4th lord of Tsugaru Domain, when he passed away in 1710. This shrine is based on Yokokawa Shintoism. Therefore, all of the gates and buildings are lined up on the east-west line. Most of the buildings are constructed by the early 19th century and designated as important cultural assets.
