Torii Kannnon

Travel Information

Torii Kannnon (鳥居観音) is a huge Kannnon statue located in Hanno, Saitama. There are three statues and the main statue is about 23m tall. They are constructed in 1971. The pray hall is 10m tall and open weekend. They are located on the top of Mt. Hakuun, 460m high. It is very popular Koyo spot.

Tourist Info.
There is parking and restroom.
It will take 40 min. from the bottom.
500 yen for diving up to the top.

Entering Kannon: 200 yen for adult, 100 yen for kids.
Time: 9:00 to 15:00
Open: From April to November at weekend and Holiday.

Torii Kannnon

Torii Kannon is located in the mountain of Hanno, Saitama Prefecture. There are three Kannon Statues located on the hill. It is located on Mt. Hakuun that is 460m from the sea level. Kannon Statues are surrounded by Shitenno Statues.

These Kannon Statues located on the top of mountain with surrounding mountains has very mysterious sight. It is very famous Koyo spot in Saitama. It has a beautiful light-up Koyo during the season. Also, light-up happens at New Year's Eve and August 16.

These buildings were constructed by Mr. Hiranuma. The Kannon Statues takes Indian style buildings with style of Greece.

Ash Tower of Priest Sanzo
It holds the ash of Priest Xuanzang who is very famous for "Journey to the West."
