Kasuga Grand Shrine

Kasuga Grand Shrine (春日大社) is the top shrine of all 1,000 Kasuga Shrine located in Nara Prefecture. It was established in 768. Kasuga Shrine enshrines Takemikazuchi, Futsutsunushi, and other gods. It's been highly respected as the protector of the Fujiwara Clan. This shrine is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The are many important historical buildings including the National Treasure of Japan.

There are parking and restroom.
Admission fee: 500 yen, 300 yen for under high school, and 200 yen for kids.
There are group discounts.
Time: 10:00 to 17:00 (last entry 16:30)

Kasuga Taisha is the top shrine of all Kasuga Shrine. Because this shrine was respected as the protector of the Fujiwara Clan, Kasuga Taisha was significantly developed under the support of the Fujiwara Clan. The placement of the buildings has been kept as the original locations.

The Middle Gate: The important historical Asset constructed in 1613.
The Corridor: The important historical Asset constructed in 1613.
The South Gate and 3 other gates: The important historical Asset constructed in 1382.

There are many other important historical Assets.

Also, at the museum, there are many Japanese Katana that are registered National Treasure.
