Aoyagi House is one of Samurai House located in Kakunodate. It is a huge house with great garden and many buildings. The garden has about 600 kinds of flowers and plants. The buildings are also used as the museums. The museum of Aoyagi House has a great corrections of Samurai Armors, Katana and other many Samurai related items. There are also craft arts displayed in here.

Aoyagi Family was used to be Samurai of Ashina clan. Later, Ashina clan was abandoned and Aoyagi family became Samurai of new lord Satake-Kita clan. Aoyagi Family was high class Samurai with 104koku. The house was built in 1860 and it is one of the oldest Samurai House in Kakunodate.

Displays Samurai weapons and armors. It has great corrections of Katana and Yoroi. Also, it displayed Samurai wearing.

-Akita Craft Museum-

The restaurant has great Inaniwa Udon that served for Shogun.
