Komoro Gion Festival (小諸祇園祭り), or Takehayajinja Reitaisai is one of the oldest festivals in Japan. It holds in the middle of July at Komoro, Nagano Prefecture. This festival has over 1,000 years of history. There are about 60 Mikoshi parading around Komoro town in this festival. Its a great Mikoshi festival in summer. There are many food stands and other events like Japanese drum performance.
