Mt. Tamon has 56m high. The view of Matsushima from Mt. Tamon is one of the four view points of Matsushima as well as Mt. Otakamori, Tomiyama, and Ogidani. It is called "Ikan" because the view has the great combination of several islands which makes like Japanese stone garden. The combination of colors with sea, pins and rocks is like natural Japanese garden.
