Every year, from June 1 to 30 there are Ajisai, Hydrangea festival, at Shimoda Park, Shimoda, Shizuoka.
Shimoda park is the ruins of Japanese castle. On the slope side of the castle, there is a great field of Ajisai wall.
Shimoda park(下田公園のアジサイ) is one of the popular Ajisai spot in Izu Peninsula. It is located southend of Izu Peninsula. There are about 150,000 Hydrangea Trees that bloom 3 million flowers. From the beginning to the end of June, beautiful Ajisai bloom. Shimoda park was used to be Japanese mountain castle.
