Shibata's Ashigaru Nagaya (新発田足軽長屋) is one of few remaining Samurai Apartments. It is located in Shibata, Niigata. There are 8 residential spaces. The low rank Samurai used to live in this space. This Ashigaru Nagaya is very few existed Nagaya House in Japan. It is registered as the national important cultural assets. It was constructed in 1842.
