Aichi Prefecture (愛知県) is located in the Tokai region of the Chubu region. It is also located in the center of Japan, and the biggest major city, Nagoya, in Chubu region. There are many famous daimyo, such as Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu. Toyota, the car company, is in Aichi, and other major heavy industries have their plantation here. It has also great nature and agriculture and fish market.

Nagoya

Nagoya (名古屋) is located in Aichi prefecture, and the biggest city in Chubu region. It is historically very important because famous Daimyo, Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi were born in Nagoya, and their ruins are still exist in many place. One of the major travel spots is Nagoya Castle which located in the center of Nagoya. Also, there are Atsuta Jingu and many more temples and shrines. Nagoya has very unique food, especially Miso Katsu, Miso flavored pork cutlet.

East Mikawa

East Mikawa is located on the east side of Aichi Prefecture. It has many beautiful nature. Most of East Mikawa is mountain. Waterfalls and rivers are the best scenery in this area, and many people visit here for camping, fishing, hiking and any other family activities. Atera fall is one of the popular waterfalls in Aichi, and it is chosen as the 100 best waterfalls in Japan.
